The Old Catholic Oratory of the Common Life in North Carolina, located in the mountains, is coordinated by Rev. Jef Pratt. Jef is a deacon in the Old Catholic Church as well as a member of the Oratory of the Common Life.
Jef is also a member of the Sualt Ste Marie Band of Ojibway (Chippawa) Indians; his totem is the hummingbird which explains the picture above.
This Oratory is under development. Jef recently has had a close encounter with cancer and is in remission. Upon recovery, he plans on relocating into the valley (Asheville, NC).
Among his many talents, Jef has a well developed expertise on the Gnostic manuscripts of the early Christian era. In his secular life, Jef is an accomplished chef; a well known floral designer (in high demand); and an experienced event planner. (He also has an excllent ear for music and plays several instuments well.)
As an ordained Deacon, Jef is available to conduct weddings and committment ceremonies as needed. When he makes his transfer to Asheville, NC, he plans on creating a wedding and event planning consultancy. He can be contacted at: billyjef@yahoo.com
Jef is a very caring and creative person. He hopes to become involved with Hospice work, and with the GLBT community. He also plays a very good Bridge game and has played with many professional people. Duplicate Bridge is a farvorite leisure activity for him. Ask him ... he'll teach you how to play.
